Governor Michalie Mazurkivich

A senior at Pittston Area High School, Michalie knew that after her time serving as Builder’s Club President had come to an end, she wanted to continue making an impact on her home, school, and community. This led Michalie to join Key Club to continue her love of helping other and volunteering. The ambitious, driven, and empathetic student has found that any service project involving helping children is easily her favorite because she loves helping younger generations. Michalie is a member of her school’s volleyball and lacrosse teams as well as travel volleyball, Cinderella’s Closet of NEPA where she is a board member, National Honor Society, Debate Team, Health and Science Club, HOBY ambassador, and Students Demand Action- NEPA. Michalie’s greatest achievement is being elected your District Governor. In her freetime, Michalie enjoys hanging out with friends, thrift shopping, and exploring her area. Some of Michalie’s favorites include the band The 1975, The Office, and food photography. Her life goals are to be happy and make a positive impact. Secretary-Treasurer Abby Bulafka

Abby is an enthusiastic, optimistic, and caring leader who is currently a senior at Daniel Boone High School. She served on the 2018-19 District Board as the Division 17 Lieutenant Governor which gave her a chance to expand on her original decision of joining Key Club to pursue her passion for service. Through her time in Key Club, she has found that her favorite service project is Special Olympics because of the impact her club can make on their community and the happiness it spreads. Outside of Key Club, Abby runs on the Track and Cross Country teams and is also a part of Student Government, Class Council, National Honor Society, Freshman Leadership Network, and Relay for Life. Abby’s greatest accomplishment is when her Relay for Life team raises over $5000 a year, with this being their fifth year. Some of Abby’s favorites include The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Khalid, hiking, and listening to music. Abby has been to about 30 concerts and loves all the memories she’s gained from them. Bulletin Editor Taegan Ludwig

Taegan, a senior at Punxsutawney Area High School, joined Key Club after seeing the impact her club had on her school and community. Wanting to be a part of something that made a difference, Taegan joined her freshman year. Through the years of volunteering with Key Club, Taegan has found that she most enjoys volunteering at a local daycare art auction that raises money to benefit the local Community Center. The humorous, compassionate, and unique student is also a member of her tennis and track and field teams, and Varsity Club, Foreign Language Club, Science Club, Student Council, Class Officers, and National Honor Society. Taegan’s greatest accomplishment in life is having the honor to serve on the PA District Board for two consecutive years. In her free time, Taegan enjoys watching YouTube and Rick and Morty, listening to Jon Bellion and Billie Eilish, hanging out with friends, reading, and juggling. In the future, Taegan hopes to attend college to study Secondary Education; however, her biggest goal is to be happy with whatever path life takes her on.
