The first day began with opening session. To get it all started our 2014-2015 Immediate Past District Governor Elissa Hill addressed us and lit the torch to start off our Olympic themed convention. Later in the session, our keynote address came from Shane McCarty, a graduate from Virginia Tech who had an idea to change the world and to make our would a nicer place. His movement, Actively Caring for People, started off with a few bracelets that he and his friends would hand out to any people they saw doing good deeds for another and have them pass it on to a person whom they saw doing the same. Their bracelets can be found all over the place, making our world a more caring and thankful place! Next, the new Youth Serving Youth Project, Early Childhood Education . After Opening Session, attendees were invited to the Meet and Serve , in which participants were split up into countries and competed in mini-Olympic-style activities. There was also an ELIMINATE Miracle Minute and Pie-Throwing!
The second day commenced with Zone Caucusing for the purpose of familiarizing delegates with the executive board candidates. Once out of the caucus, the workshops got on their way.
